After graduating from Brentwood, I took a year off to work and backpack before the next stage of schooling. While away, I changed my mind about going into nursing, and so upon returning to Canada I completed a double major in history and religious studies at Queen's University. While that was incredibly interesting and changed me forever as a person, I eventually wound right back up at the start: nursing. I completed my Bachelor of Science, Nursing, from the University of Toronto. While in Toronto, I met my husband Kyle and we eventually moved back to the Island where we are raising our two boys. As a nurse, I have the ability to work in a huge variety of fields and roles and so can constantly be challenged to evolve. I have practiced in the Emergency Department, Community Health Service, Geriatric Specialty outreach services, and psychiatry, occupying front line to leadership positions.
