Recent BCom Grad

After graduating from Brentwood in 2015, I furthered my education at the University of Victoria in the Social Sciences department with a focus on History and Sociology. In my first year I took courses from a handful of different departments including commerce. It was in Com100 that I decided to switch gears and pursue a Bachelor of Commerce degree with the Peter B Gustavson School of Business.

While completing my Bcom, I was able to gain a wider understanding of the different disciplines, which has helped develop a unique perspective of the business and economic world. During my degree I took part in the Co-op program gaining experience in marketing, event planning and communications. I also participated in the Exchange Program and studied in Denmark in the Fall of 2018.

When I graduated from Brentwood a degree in business was the last thing I expected to pursue, but looking back I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. The business program allowed me to form friendships similar to those I made during my time at Brentwood. I was also given the opportunity to be involved in my school, gain work experience and travel abroad.

I graduated from UVic in August and I have just returned from travelling around Europe. I hope to pursue a career in communications or operations on the West Coast of Canada or in the UK, but am currently enjoying some time off to reset and explore opportunities.
