David graduated from Brentwood in 1986 and attended Queen’s University, earning a BSc in Cognitive Science. He then attended the University of Alberta completing his MSc and PhD in Psychology, studying artificial neural networks. This was followed-up with a Post-Doc at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, and then a research faculty position at a Medical College in Wisconsin.
After “temporarily leaving the Island for 21 years”, David then returned to Vancouver Island at the end of 2007 and engaged in a number of jobs, including consulting for an Executive Search firm and joining his father in selling Real Estate, as well as teaching Psychology at UVic on a part-time basis.
David is now a full time faculty member in the Department of Psychology at the University of Victoria, and is currently the Undergraduate Academic Advisor for Psychology.
