I am currently enrolled at UBC in the Fine Arts Program with a major in Visual Arts. I am aiming to graduate from UBC in May of 2024.
During my time at UBC so far, I have enrolled in multiple intramural teams, such as Ultimate Frisbee and Volleyball. Besides painting and drawing during the school year for classes, I also do extracurricular things for art. Showing my artwork at multiple art shows in Vancouver and selling upcycled clothing.
Starting early and doing all these extracurricular activities with art has allowed me to make small mistakes and victories that have taught me valuable lessons I can take into the real world once I graduate. Learning the balance between doing schoolwork and continuing my art practice is something I must do daily.
I am excited to talk about my experiences during the past few years at UBC and all the things the Fine Arts program has to offer!
