“Work to live?” OR “live to work?” was the defining question that led Philippa to a career in real estate. It was not a direct path. After graduating from Brentwood, Philippa completed a BA in Geography from UVic. She realized that just because something comes easy, doesn’t mean you have to make a career out of it. Philippa then went on to complete a 2 year Marketing Management Diploma at BCIT. It was there she found her true multi-passions: Marketing, Business Development & Event Planning.

Five years of downtown Vancouver living proved to be exciting, fast paced, challenging and fed the ego, but it was exhausting. Leasing a horse part-time in the prestigious but pricey Southlands provided an opportunity to assemble some life balance, but it still was not enough.

Philippa spent long hours spent while working for two large US-based tech and media companies in their business development and marketing programs. She spent equal amounts of time volunteering as an active board member for two organizations (SME and AMEC) to continue resume building & networking.

Driving home from the barn one afternoon while stuck in traffic she asked herself: did she want to continue to work to eventually live? OR start to feel passionate about what she was doing and live to work?

Philippa returned to Vancouver Island where she has worked as a Realtor® for 14 years and has finally achieved balance in her life. Real estate has proved to be a career that offers independence, creativity, financial freedom, unique opportunities and friendships.
