Cecily Grant

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Associate Veterinarian at Royal Oak Pet Clinic

Dr. Grant is a third generation doctor, though the first veterinarian in her family. Having grown up in Vancouver, she graduated from Brentwood in 1978 and then completed her Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees at the University of Saskatchewan. She also earned her Laboratory Animal Medicine certificate through the University of Guelph.

Dr. Grant has always had a passion for treating animals with kindness and has brought her compassionate approach to small animal clinics for many years. In addition to private practice, she has worked for the Victoria SPCA, the University of Victoria and a biotechnology company as a research animal consultant and Animal Care Committee member. Dr. Grant was a long-time member of the Animal Welfare Committee for The College of Veterinarians of BC and is a current member of the Animal Welfare Committee of the Society of BC Veterinarians.

Dr. Grant and her husband live with their Beagle, Ellie, two rescue house cats, 1.5 barn cats, a flock of chickens and turkeys, and their honeybees.
