After graduating from Brentwood in 2012, I completed my undergraduate studies at Queen's University, where I earned a bachelor's degree in history. In my spare time, I stayed involved by working as an orientation leader, performing in various bands, and playing varsity Rugby for Queen's.
Shortly after graduating, I enrolled in an accelerated business diploma at BCIT, which was the catalyst for my next chapter in the software industry. Between graduating from BCIT and beginning law school, I worked on sales teams for software companies in Vancouver in both enterprise and start-up environments. I went on to law school where I was president of the TRU Law Rugby Club and the Business Law Society. Today I'm articling at a major British Columbian law firm where I specialize in corporate law and commercial real estate transactions.
During my summers at Queen's, I worked in a range of environments including car dealerships, restaurants, construction, and as a tree-planter. The latter two brought me to communities and worksites across northern BC and offered experiences that still inform the work I do. Each of these opportunities has broadened my horizons and deepened the network of talented people who I trust and rely on today.
If you're wondering how to make the most of your undergraduate studies and how to build a strong professional network, or if you're curious about applying to law school or working in the software industry, I'd be very happy to talk to you.
