After graduating from Brentwood in 2016, Alex pursued a bachelor’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied philosophy, politics, economics, and criminology while rowing on UPenn’s heavyweight rowing team. He served as captain of the team for two of his four years, during which he earned a gold medal at the Canada Summer Games, a silver medal at the CRASH-B World Indoor Rowing Championships, and set a world record for lightweight rowing on the Concept 2 ergometer. In 2018, Alex spent a year studying criminology abroad at the Freie Universität Berlin, where he also rowed for the Berliner Ruder Club.

Alex graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. Upon graduation, he was hired by the Vancouver Police Department as a special municipal constable, where he primarily worked as a jail guard and community safety officer. In 2022, Alex was hired by the West Vancouver Police Department as a police constable. He spent two years in WVPD’s patrol division, where his duties mainly involved responding to calls for service, apprehending offenders, and conducting investigations. In August 2024, Alex competed in the World Police and Fire Games and earned a gold medal in rowing. In 2025, he was temporarily hired as a detective constable in the Intelligence and Investigations Division.

In his current position, Alex conducts complex investigations related to high-priority targets, including drug trafficking and manufacturing, fraud, high-value property crimes, and violent offences. In his free time, Alex enjoys practicing Brazilian jiu-jitsu and weightlifting.
