Senior Software Engineer at Stripe

Russill Glover is currently a Senior Software Engineer at Stripe with 7 years of industry experience, and graduated from UBC with a Computer engineering degree in 2015.

Russill began his career as an embedded computer vision engineer at a local BC based company, where he worked on creating innovative solutions for real-time image and video processing.  This experience allowed him to gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of computer vision and how to apply this knowledge in practical, real-world situations.

After several years of working in the embedded computer vision space, Russill took on a new challenge as a software engineer at Amazon Web Services, where he was part of the team responsible for building and maintaining a high scale cloud platform for managed workflows. During his time at AWS, Russill honed his skills in cloud computing and gained a deep understanding of how to build scalable and robust software solutions.

Today, Russill is a software engineer at Stripe, where he works on the Javascript infrastructure team. He is responsible for designing and implementing infrastructure solutions that are critical to the performance and reliability of the company's frontend platform. While Russill is proud of the work he has done and the impact he has made, he also recognizes that there is always room for growth and improvement and is always striving to learn and do better.
