Training Program Manager, Certn

Mollie graduated from Brentwood in 2015, and then attended UVic and the University of Aarhus in Denmark to complete a Bachelor of Commerce. After graduation, she decided to take a few months off to travel and spend time with her family. Initially after graduation, Mollie looked into completing a law degree and worked at a law firm during the heart of the pandemic; but it was during this time, she realized she wanted to work more closely with people. After leaving the firm, Mollie moved back to Victoria and eventually started working with Certn in 2021. 

Starting out as a Support Specialist, and then becoming a Team Lead, Mollie learned all the ins and outs before moving into her current role as Training Program Manager. In her current role, her focus is primarily on building out training programs and scaling training and knowledge management processes to a global level. Working with her team, she gets to work with many different departments within the company, look to decrease organizational silos and increase the quality of support Certn offers. Mollie's joy of working with people is still met, as even though Certn is a global fully remote company she is often connecting with coworkers from different regions to help train new products, compliance needs and team policies. Over the last 18 months, Mollie has witnessed Certn's growth from 100 employees to almost 500 and with that all the changes that come from a small tech start up shifting into a global company. 

Mollie was born and raised on Vancouver Island and loves to be able to balance work and life on the island, whether that be dips in the ocean every week, mountain biking, skiing, or hitting up a local cafe. As she is also always looking for new areas of growth, Mollie continues to find opportunities to learn within her role, explore development through volunteering and workshops and explore the world through travel.
