Director at Cogent Green Electrical Solutions Ltd (CGS)

Josh is the Director at Cogent Green Electrical Solutions Ltd (CGS) which primarily operates on Vancouver Island and the Okanagan. The company focuses on sustainable and efficient electrical solutions for new and old construction in commercial and residential applications. CGS is the contractor of choice for the Qmerit electrification program which offers incentives for Level 2 charging for purchasers of Electric Vehicles from manufacturers such as Chevrolet, Ford, Mercedes, Jaguar, Dodge, Audi, Subaru and Porsche. CGS also modernized the “world’s largest hockey stick” with programmable LED lights that allows for unlimited colors and patterns from a phone or tablet. They are also involved with the 5G data network infrastructure for Telus and Shaw Cable.

Prior to his position at CGS, Josh was a Project Manager and Coordinator in several oil and gas “mega” projects throughout western Canada for clients including Shell, Suncor, Conoco Phillips, SNC Lavalin and JACOS.

In his spare time, Josh enjoys playing basketball with his three sons, snowboarding, playing the guitar and drums, riding his motorcycle and trail running with his dog Bruce. He volunteers his time teaching University level religious studies courses.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Royal Roads University, Advanced Project Management (PMP) from Langara College and a Journeyman Electrician Certificate from NAIT.
