Fraser Riverkeeper and the Program Manager for Swim Drink Fish

Sadie Caron is the official Fraser Riverkeeper and Program Manager for Swim Drink Fish in Vancouver. She is dedicated to protecting waterways and ensuring a swimmable, drinkable, and fishable future for everyone. Sadie studied Interdisciplinary Environmental Studies at McGill University in Montreal, including a field study semester in Barbados. While in Barbados, she learned first hand about water monitoring, conservation, and pollution in the very waters where she would swim, surf, and dive in, inspiring her future in the water world. As a cold water swimmer and an environmental and social justice advocate, Sadie’s work combines her interests. In her position with Swim Drink Fish she wears many hats as she advocates for restoration projects, raises funds for water protection, and manages two water protecting community science programs in False Creek.
