Technical Designer, Knitwear at Abercrombie & Fitch, Columbus, OH

Candice, born and raised in Seoul, Korea, came to Canada at age fifteen to attend Brentwood. She graduated from Brentwood in 2011 as part of the first Hope House grad class. She spent a year studying philosophy at UBC before moving to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming a fashion designer. She graduated from Parsons the School of Design with a bachelor’s degree in fashion design specializing in women’s knitwear.

Throughout her years in New York City, she had opportunities to work as a fashion free-lancer in roles such as atelier assistant, merchandiser and garment sketcher. Upon graduation, Candice moved to Columbus, Ohio to work as a female technical designer at Abercrombie & Fitch HQ. Leveraging her specialty and passion in knit design, she became the lead female technical designer for all Abercrombie & Fitch brand’s sweater wear categories where she grew the sweater business significantly. Inspired by the business operations at Abercrombie & Fitch corporate office, she proceeded to continue her education at the Ohio State University for her master’s degree in business administration. She graduated with her MBA from Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University in 2020 where she focused her studies in marketing strategy. Since then, she has been working as a marketing strategy consultant for a non-profit organization while also continuing to work as a sweater designer at Abercrombie & Fitch.
