Boyd grew up on Salt Spring Island, a diverse and wonderfully imaginative community just off Vancouver Island. He was always a creative type, interested mostly in theatre and fine arts. In 2001, Boyd followed his two older brothers to Brentwood, as the curriculum had a strong focus on the arts.

Upon graduation, his passion for musical theatre took him directly from Brentwood to New York City! While attending the American Musical & Dramatic Academy, he worked full time as a sales associate at Club Monaco. Retail was the peephole into this fascinating industry. Boyd saw first-hand the power of good clothes and looking great - how fashion directly affected a person’s livelihood. It really impacted him and was the beginning of an extensive career in Manhattan’s Fashion Industry.

Since that first peek into the world of clothes, Boyd has worked in almost every facet of the industry. He has an extensive resume as a Personal Shopper for some of the world’s most luxurious brands, including Christian Dior, Chanel, Gucci, Versace, Saks Fifth Avenue and Holt Renfrew. He worked for Escada as their Westcoast Visual Coordinator, responsible for the visual merchandising in eight stores across Canada and the USA. He has worked in corporate sales for Alexander McQueen, and was the first Global Sales Executive for Thom Browne’s Women’s Collection, traveling to Milan and Paris quarterly for Fashion week.

Boyd’s entrepreneurial spirit took him back to school in 2012, graduating top of his class with honours from the Fashion Institute of Technology. F.I.T set the foundation to start his own Personal Shopping company for private clients in New York City, as well as an eBay store sourcing and flipping luxury goods.

After 15 years in NYC, Boyd very recently returned to Vancouver. With a new city comes new opportunity, and he has explored various jobs in the film industry. Most recently, Boyd has worked as a Buyer for CW’s TV Series Supergirl. He is currently assisting a Global Stylist in Vancouver to create editorials, campaigns and national commercials for clients like Eddie Bauer, Air Canada & Toyota.
