Ashley (She/Her) is a 2011 Alex House Brentonian graduate and former SPARC captain. Ashley took a gap year immediately following graduation to pursue her passion for cooking in London, England at Le Cordon Bleu. After a brief stint at the University of Victoria (pre-business) she moved to Vancouver to try her hand at “flipping” in a booming real estate market.

By completing 14 projects over a five-year span, she rapidly gained valuable insights into the construction and real estate business that debunk the wildly inaccurate depictions of glamourous HGTV renovation specials. Ashley is now highly experienced in the field and is grateful for the many lessons learned over the years.

The lessons learned in construction, however, are mild in comparison to those learned in the personal health crisis that followed. The coinciding cooling-off of the Vancouver real estate market allowed for some reflection on the direction of her construction business and life in general.

While she still runs AEWILL construction and pursues real estate investment opportunities, most recently completing a mid-century project in California (Feb 2021), she has also returned to the University of Victoria to study psychology.

Ashley is passionate about the mind-body connection and the impact that chronic stress and trauma can have on mental and physical health. Her mental health journey has ignited a spark to start building a business that is in a deeper alignment with her core values. While still involved in real estate, she looks forward to a future career of serving others.
