After graduating from Brentwood in 2005, Amy was registered and set to attend Guelph University studying Psychology, when a family-related obstacle revealed itself, she subsequently decided to remain closer to family in Vancouver, BC. She entered the workforce as a Receptionist at a small software company, and worked her way up to HR Manager by age 24. After discovering her love of HR and Recruiting, she decided to double-down on her invaluable hands-on training within the corporate world and attain a graduate certificate in Strategic Human Resources Management from Royal Roads University.

A move to Seattle, WA challenged Amy with a new job market and set of employment laws. She continued to grow her HR career in the technology space, all while starting a family of her own, and eventually became an accredited Senior Certified HR Professional and founded her own boutique Recruiting and HR Consulting firm.

She now resides north of Seattle with her husband and two children.
